2025 Burnett County Election Schedule

  • Spring Primary – Tuesday, February 18th
  • Spring Election  – Tuesday, April 1st

Important Dates for the Spring Primary (more detail at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/Voter-Deadlines)

3/4/2025 - Last day for electors to acquire residence for the Spring Election. Electors moving after this date may vote from their prior address.
3/12/2025 - Last day for voters to register online for the Spring Election. After this date, electors must register in person in the municipal clerk's office or at the polling place.
3/18/2025 through 3/28/2025 - In person Absentee voting and/or Voter Registration may occur in the Clerk's office, call Michelle Messer for an appointment, 715-566-1857.
3/24/2025, 1 p.m. - Public Test of Ballot Tabulator, at Union Town Hall.
3/27/2025, 5 p.m. - Deadline for voters to request absentee ballots by mail. NOTE: This doesn't allow much time for the ballot to be mailed out and returned!
4/1/2025 - Election Day. Polls open 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Absentee Ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m. to be counted.

PLEASE NOTE: THOSE ELECTORS WISHING TO REGISTER TO VOTE OR TO CAST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IN PERSON AT THE TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE SHOULD CALL AHEAD OF TIME TO SET AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE CLERK.

If you are not yet registered to vote in Union Township, you can do so on line using the link below to access the MyVote system. The same system can be used to request an Absentee Ballot, update your address, check your voting history and, pretty generally, access any voting information you may need!

Registration can also be completed at the Union Town Hall on the day of the election but you will need to bring along proof of residence as well as a photo ID.

Polls will open at 7:00 AM and will remain open until 8:00 PM

You will need a Photo ID to vote.

Information regarding specific elections will be posted as the date draws near. The easiest way to request an Absentee Ballot is via the MyVote website.
