“THANK YOU” Letter From the Town of Union

A big THANK YOU to all those who volunteered their time, Citizens, 4H Club and 4H Children and Parents, Board members, to clean the Roadways of Union Township during Union Townships Annual Earth Day Clean-up-Up event April 22 and 23, 2022.  A special thank you to Jayne Schwartz, Terri McDaniel, Heidi Radman for coordinating the event and Dennis Johnson for hauling bags of garbage and other collected items to the Oakland Collect Center (OCC).  An additional thank you to Eugene Sikorski and Wayne’s Food for their donation of lunch items to feed our volunteers during this 2-day event.   

The volunteers covered many miles of Union Township’s 38 miles of roads collecting 76 bags of garbage, 101 Tires, 1 Refrigerator, 2 Freezers, 2 Flat Screen TVs, 2 Mattresses, 1 Box Spring, 1 Toilet, 1 Sink, Carpet as well as many fun and interesting miscellaneous items.    

Thank you all for keeping our Township streets clean and free of garbage as nature intends.
